MEET THE CAST OF
THE IMPROBABLE FALL, RISE, & FALL OF JOHN LAW
Name: Daryl Lathon

Hometown: Shreveport, La.

We hear there are more than 40 characters in this play! How many are you playing?
5 …. 6 …. I think …. No wait, 7. I play 7. I think. Let me count again.

Which of the characters you’re playing is your favorite? Tell us a little bit about that character.
Right now [French Minister of Finance] Noailles is my favorite. He’s a good ol’ boy you can count on. He has little time for political B.S.
What are you most excited for the audience to experience when they come to The Improbable Fall, Rise & Fall of John Law?
The funny voices and Mackenzie Knapp (if we were to anthropomorphize a funny voice it would be Mackenzie Knapp)

If you became a millionaire overnight what would you do with your newfound wealth (besides donating generously to your favorite non-profit theatre company, of course)?
Chill

What’s the most surprising thing about John Law or the history of money that you’ve learned working on this play?
That he existed and that you can trace the beginnings of paper money to one individual

What’s your take on John Law (or at least Matt’s version of John Law) – hero, villain, or somewhere in between?
Hero. How do you look in to Greg’s dreamy eyes and listen to that soothing brogue and not think he’s a hero? As every character outright states or implies, “There’s something about you Mr. Law”
