Received his BFA in Theater from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts where he studied Directing and Producing at Playwrights Horizons Theater School. He has produced every one of Dreamscape's projects to date. He conceived of the original idea for "The Burning Cities Project" and is a member of the ensemble that created and performed it at The Tenth Annual New York International Fringe Festival, FringeNYC in August of 2006.  He also wrote the curriculum and serves as the head teaching artist for Dreamscape's all new educational outreach program "Worlds of Story." Directorial credits with Dreamscape include The Credeaux Canvas, (April ’04) and Tiny Dynamite (June '05). Favorite non-Dreamscape directing projects include: The House of Blue Leaves, Picasso at the Lapin Agile, (The AMBITIOUS Theatre Company) and 'M' is For ‘Moon’ Among Other Things (PHTS). Brad is currently pursuing his Masters Degree in Educational Theater at NYU's Steinhardt Graduate School of Education.

Zack Calhoon, Founding Member/General Manager

Zack graduated from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts where he had studied at the Atlantic Theater Company Acting School and the Classical Studio.  Dreamscape credits: Lee in True West, Hamlet in Hamlet, Jamie  in The Credeaux Canvas, Antonio in The Merchant of Venice, Banquo in Macbeth. NY credits:  Edmund in King Lear, Variation in the World Premiere production of Giant-N-Variation, Dex in the U.S. premiere of Irvine Welsh’s (author of Trainspotting) play, You’ll Have Had Your Hole at the 2004 New York International Fringe Festival; Prince Hal in Henry IV Part 1 (Boomerang Theater Company);  Lady Anne in Richard III (Judith Shakespeare Co.); The Player in Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead, Peace by Aristophanes (New York Innovative Theatre Award nomination for Best New Musical), Sebastian in Twelfth Night (Milk Can Theatre Co.); and Chiron in Titus Andronicus (Expanded Arts). Regional credits:  Romeo in Romeo & Juliet, Proteus in The Two Gentlemen of Verona, Demetrius in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Nym in The Merry Wives of Windsor, Hubert in King John, Borachio in Much Ado About Nothing (Actors Shakespeare Co.), Prince John in The Lion in Winter (Pentacle Theatre), and Laertes in Fortinbras (Albany Civic Theater).  Playwriting credits include: Krueger and Marlowe, P.I.. Zack is a certified actor/combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors, a member of the Actors Equity, the Dramatist Guild, and an Eagle Scout.

Morgan Anne Zipf, Head of Production

Morgan is a graduate of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts where she studied acting, directing and design at Playwrights Horizons Theatre School and the Experimental Theatre Wing. She has also studied acting and directing as an intern of the Ensemble Studio Theatre. Morgan is a member of the ensemble that created "The Burning Cities Project" and will perform the show at The Tenth Annual New York International Fringe Festival, FringeNYC this August. Morgan has worked extensively with Dreamscape as a stage manager (The Merchant of Venice) and designer (The Credeaux Canvas). In 2005, she directed Dreamscape's production of Sophie Treadwell's Machinal. Her directing work outside the company has included productions of Charles Mee's True Love and Carel Kopeck's R.U.R. She has also worked extensively with The Legitimate Theater Company, appearing in their productions of Twelfth Night: The Drinking Game and What is Legitimate Theater?

2006 Directors:

Kate Ross

Kate is the director of our upcoming production of True West. Directing credits: King Henry IV, Part One, The Two Gentlemen of Verona (Boomerang Theatre Company); Romeo and Juliet, Much Ado About Nothing (The Actors Shakespeare Company); DMV Tyrant (Oberon Theatre Ensemble). New York acting credits include: Prelude to a Kiss (Rita); Moonchildren (OOBR Award); A Midsummer Night's Dream (Helena); The Miser (Elise); Phaedra (Aricia); Ghosts; The Physicists; Her Eyes, Like Diamonds. Regional acting credits include: Miss Julie (Fort Mason Center, San Francisco); The Three Musketeers, Twelfth Night, Romeo and Juliet, Much Ado About Nothing, Comedy of Errors (The Actors Shakespeare Company, NJ); Mary Stuart. Kate holds a B.A. in Theatre Arts from Case Western Reserve University, where she graduated magna cum laude and with departmental honors.

Mark Lindberg

Mark is the writer/director of the upcoming world premiere of Truce on Uranus and a member of the "Burning Cities" ensemble. He is also the resident playwright and co-teaching artist on Dreamscape's "Worlds of Story" program. Mark’s first season with Dreamscape Theatre is keeping him joyfully busy working as a playwright, director, actor, and teaching artist. Mark’s credits as an actor include the powerful one-man play Johnny Got His Gun (FringeNYC '05, SEE Theatre, and Cape Cod Repertory Theater) and work with Breedingground Productions, Letter T Productions, and Boston’s Chamber Theatre. As playwright/director, Mark’s credits include Sick With Something with Theatre-Studios Inc., Resisting Change with PlayOffs NYC at the Bowery Poetry Club, and Martin’s Lib with Gold Dragon Productions at the Gene Frankel Theater. Mark holds a B.F.A. from NYU/Tisch where he studied at the Playwrights Horizons Theater School.

Shaun Peknic

Shaun is the director of the upcoming production of Marisol by Jose Rivera. He is a recent graduate of Tisch School of the Arts, NYU (PHTS) and a member of The Dreamscape Theatre with whom he played Macduff in Macbeth (August '02). Previous Directing credits include: Life and Limb (Pennydreadful Productions), Private Eyes (The AMBITIOUS Theatre Company), and A Streetcar Named Desire (NYU). Previous A.D. credits: Arabian Night (dir. Trip Cullman), Roberto Zucco (dir. Dan Safer). Shaun will be attending the Lincoln Center Directors Lab this summer and in the Fall will return to Playwrights Horizons Theater School for his third year as a Teaching Assistant.
